Hi all.
Just wondering, is the 64 bit pci backwads compatible.
Im looking into the 3ware 7506 raid card (the 4 drive one)
and from the looks of it they are all 64 bit.
but im not sure if they are backwards compatible or not.

thanks

Normaly if the card will fit the slot it will work in it.
So you need to check the keying on the card will fit into a 32 bit slot.
If it will it will work.

Ps. I've used a 64 bit card in a 32 bit slot succesfuly.

Luck.......:D

Yet to find a PCI-X card that won't work just fine in a PCI slot (albeit not at the same potential due to the decreased clock, but good enough for desktop work). I suppose there's some out there but if so they're in the minority.
