Hi, I'm trying to find a decent 32" TV, budget is around 300 bucks but is flexible. 1080p is nice but not necessary.

Only real requirements are that it has HDMI and VGA hookups, since it will be used for both cable and as a monitor for a laptop. If the VGA is a big deal, DVI would be ok since I could pick up a cheap converter.

I know there's a lot of decent TV's out there, but I'm mainly here asking if you guys have any particular choices, you guys helped me pick out a monitor a little bit ago and you guys were awesome.

Thanks.

I just purchased a 32" Samsung from Sears on Black Friday for $329. It had both VGA and 2 HDMI inputs on the back. It is only 720p though. I am using it for the same things you are.

I bet if you look around you can find the same tv for a little cheaper elsewhere. Also, Walmart put the same model on sale last night for $228. Not sure if that is still going on.

Black friday just passed... :(

Keep your eyes on slickdeals.net and similar deal sites. I'm sure a TV deal will pop up for the holidays.

EDIT: Also, using a TV as a monitor doesn't always have great results. I highly recommend you try it out on similar televisions or the exact television if possible.

I agree with 450. Try to use the tv as monitor to make sure it is what you want. I rarely use mine for a monitor. Just when I want to blow something up to show a group of people. Otherwise its my 24" Dell.

Also, don't forget Cyber Monday is in 2 days.
