32" panasonic LSD TV

My debit card has been charged. I better get either the TV or a refund lol. I'd rather the TV.

Now it's all over for the 52in. The gizmodo article is interesting. I hope they don't switch the price and charge the full $2,299 for the TV without notifying me. I would be VERY unhappy.

tell me about it, check the slickdeals forum too (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=916073&page=22) people are now all worried that its a scam, i for one trust amazon, and believe that the worst case scenario will be a refund and maybe some giftcards for my hassle.

Screw it; I just canceled. I did not figure it to be worth the risk.

I'd be surprised if you got giftcards for a price mistake since at any given time amazon's merchants have dozens of price mistakes.

We used to try our luck on these 5 or 6 years ago, most of us gave up after the second or third try. Can't recall amazon ever having compensating anyone for their "trouble", at least not anything worth noting.

Can't hurt to hope though.

Yeah my friend has an LSD tv. It's pretty badass...when I watched it, it was almost like I was hallucinating. This swirl of colors appeared before me and moved close and closer. Soon it engulfed me and I was sitting in a room with 2pac and Gordan Freeman. It was awesome!

well ive heard of many cases where the price was a mistake and amazon gave them a 20 dollar gift card for their trouble, i put down 2 seperate orders so maybe ill get 2 gift cards ;), at least i hope.

It depends on how you word your complaint.

A few weeks ago when the GTX 260's were going for under $170, I bit on a 280 for $40 shipped through one of the Amazon's sellers. A day later I got a cancellation. I complained to Amazon that this guy is going against Amazon's TOS. They only told me to send in a complaint. :/

Ah well.

what is the difference between LCD and LSD technology?

LSD is a drug. LCD is a type of flat panel monitor/tv technology. There's no such thing as an LSD tv, unless you're a drug runner or something....

Guys, these amazon merchant price mistakes happen all the time. If this were amazon you'd have a chance. With third party merchants they either flat cancel or send you the wrong thing. While you technically are protected, if you look at people who've actually had issues with third party merchants, it's a serious pitb for them to get their money back.

Man, I had a bad experiance in college with LSD.. I don't really want a whole TV with it..

Hmm... Since this is all over the net including slickdeals and here, I'd go out on a limb and say at least 5,000 of these have been ordered. Since the 52" are going for $200 shipped and the cheapies are $60 shipped, let's assume the average TV price including shipping is ~$100. That means some guy with a crappy buisness he's pushing through Amazon now has $500,000 sitting in his bank account. Errr keep my buisness going and spend time sending $500,000 worth of refunds back or take the Half Mill and RUN?!?! Decisions Decisions :D

Goodluck guys?

I've been scammed and have seen scams happen on Amazon several times. Unfortunately, I think you guys are all going to lose your money. If you read the ToS, Amazon has no authority between the third party sellers and the merchant buyers. You have to get your money back with your own lawyer and your own time.

Heh....LSD TV....

Introducing the new Limited Edition Panasonic 32" HDTV "Hunter S. Thompson" Edition!

As much as I would have enjoyed receiving one, I knew the chances of it going through were slim to none.. so no sweat off my back ;)

I almost bit on this...but I'm really waiting for development of PCP or maybe even THC technology to make it into tv's.:)

Great deals have happened before, I remember last year's buy 1 eee pc and get 4 free from Newegg.
