30in Viewsonic LCD

Does anyone have any experience with it? I am finally looking to upgrade the things that makes pictures and came across this http://www.newegg.com/app/viewprodu...on=24-116-310&CMP=OTC-pr1c3watch&ATT=Monitors
for 2k. Ignore newegg's price I can get it in Houston for MSRP. It says 16ms response time and I want to know about gaming on this monster.

I could be wrong (been wrong before, even got married) but PC Mag did a review and indicated you needed a G-4 to make it go..

The resolution seems kinda of low for such a large display if you want to use it as your primary monitor...just something to think about.

That's a TV, not a pc monitor. Any pc lcd would be running at least at 1600x1200 for such a huge screen.

Notice the host of intputs for the monitor. How many pc lcd's have all that? Basically it's just a high resolution TV that you can plug your pc into. It would be great as a secondary display for watching movies or TV.

God, I gotta quit posting so late. It's the Apple that needs the G-4..you guys are right. This is just a TV...My bad..

It IS a TV but it has DVI-D inputs so it is also marketed as a monitor. The reason the res is so low is because it's TV first and foremost but also because the only high res screen in that size class is running 2560x1600 This also would not be my primary display. It would sit where my TV is now and would be the movie/TV/games part of the room.And I like the plethora of inputs, Xbox, Dreamcast, and PS2 would all be used on this monitor But main;y I like it because I don't want to shell out $3200 for a thirty inch screen. Oh well, guess I'll take a look at that 23in HP
