I just got my 3007wfp - so far I love it (search for grid.exe for window management). BUT - there is one dead pixel or subpixel, which now that I see it is going to drive me nuts. It only shows when the area is white, yellow or green, not when it's red or blue - so I guess this means a subpixel? What will dell say if I call them about it?

Thanks,

Hi, congrats on your great Dell. As for the dead green sub-pixel, I would simply exchange the monitor on Dells dime if your within the 21 day exchange period. I bought a refurbished 2007wfp and was even allowed the same grace period as new product purchases. Mine also had a single dead green and it only took me one exchange to get a perfect monitor.

Good luck.

That stinks, but not that surprising considering the huge amount of pixels present on a 2560x1600 panel. Before calling Dell, you could try to gently massage it back to life or use one of the programs designed to resuscitate dead pixels. It definitely can't hurt and might save you the hassle of a return...
