3007 WFP Screen Flash

I'm using a 3007 WFP with my setup, and have had a screen flash since I've been on my current card. I built this PC a year ago, had some problems with 4850X2's, so I switched to a 285. Now, once every 5 minutes or so, my screen will flash. Typically it only does this in Windows, though. I've swapped out the Motherboard, that did nothing. Three video cards of problems. Running at full resolution with some games I have some weird issues too. I tried someone else's display on my PC and it looked fine while we used it, but this kinda seems random and we might not have noticed it.
Any thoughts as to what could possibly be causing this?
 
Defective display? That or possibly poor quality cables. It was never your motherboard, and very likely never your GPU.
 
can you describe your problem with a bit more detail in regards to the flashes? mine does something that sounds like it might be similar. mine was a refurb so chocked it up to luck of the draw. I thought about RMAing it but I feared I might get something far worse, or just wait for complete failure. for me it's not every 5 mins but I do notice it every now and again. the flashes for me result in video garbage in the form of vertical lines of varying color.

RMA after trying a different DVI cable -- it's likely on the way out.
 
Yeah it is sort of random, mine is a refurb too. Just passed a year in age too, I think my warranty on it just died. BUT if it isn't the monitor, that's a load off. I might try a different cable. Gotta find one.
 
and yeah it does mostly look like vertical lines, it seems like each flash has a few different colors, like one will be mostly red, another mostly gray.
