3007 - Dvd playback is pixelated?

Hey all

I got my 3007 the other day, and it's awesome except for one thing. When I'm watching a dvd, and I make it full screen, the picture becomes noticeably pixelated. Is this just because the screen runs at such a high resolution?

I've watched the same dvds in a few different player programs and it looks the same each time...

That's because the DVD is being scaled up by about 350%

When you expand the dvd player window to fill the entire screen, is the picture also pixelated? If it's not, then there's more things to blame other than the video being enlarged 350%.

I have no idea how to do that. Can you explain a little more?

What program should I be using to play dvds? Windows media player seems pretty junky...

*edit* I just watched a divx video on it in fullscreen and it looks just fine. I guess its just something jacked up with my dvd playback...

I would recommend uninstalling any codec you have, install Combined Community Codec Pack, install Media Player Classic that comes with it, and try playing DVD with that. If the max screened quality is still not acceptable for you, you can go into ffdshow and play with the settings. Here's a Guide to ffdshow settings
