Nice Laptop from Dell: 1500 (Pentium 4 2.6GHz
New Computer Parts from NewEgg: 1500 (Including shipping, AMD, case, monitor, etc.

Look on your face that resembles a 6-year old opening presents on christmas day: PRICELESS :D

^Yeah, I'm going to go with him on this one. :p

3 Grand is a hella lota money to spend all in one place...

Dell has been having some issues as of late. The recently recalled laptop batteries (3rd degree burns anyone?) And have most of their customer "support" outsourced to India (you think regional accents in the US are bad, you havent been on the phone with tech support from that region of the world - ugh is a compliment.)
But I agree - lappy for around that and buy the stuff from newegg - or send me some $ and my computer will be thankful...

are dell laptops good? cauz from mi experience with dell computers, they suck...
also, thinkin of gettin either a 172x or 2001FP monitor... which do u think is better?

i've seen that thread, but the 2001FP has 16ms response time, and is less than half the price lol... Y not get 2 2001FP's? well but i sill want to upgrade mi computer with sum of the new intel stuff... (no i'm not a diehard intel fan but for sum reason i like their products more, even if they can fry a chicken)

i dink if you are going to get a laptop you should get a thinkpad from ibm. I would also take the remaining money you have and learn how to spell. ;)

heh i know how to spell... but are the thinkpads good at gaming?
boy this thread is moving fast jus posted 2 min ago

no they suck at gameing. But some of them are good at gaming though. You sure you know how to spell? The high end thinkpads come with a 128 firegl t2 card which is pretty much a mobile radeon 9600. The new t42p can be bought with a 15 inch or 14 inch display. I am not sure about any ghosting issues though. I have a t40p but I have not done much gaming on it.

sigh... ne labt0p wif a rad30n 9600 will b gud @ gameing. d3ll has the xps but i think it's a bit too big and clunky thats why i recommended the thinkpads, they are lightweight and very durable and just great machines all around.
