30" to 27" Dell

Has anyone gone from the dell 30" monitor to the NEW dell 27" monitor?

I am wondering if I will like the wideR screen, and have the ability to "slam" the monitor so that the bottom almost touches the base.

Anyone who has converted what is your opinion :eek:

Unless there is something wrong with your 30" that seems like a significant step down.

This isn't a case of 30" with some of the top and bottom cut off. It is that and some shrinkage as well. Not only is the 30" taller, it is wider as well.

The 27" is a significantly smaller monitor. It is more like 24" with a bit extra on the sides.

Then there is the pixels which are even smaller than on the 30"... Having owned a 30" for a week, I thought they were already pushing the limit of being too small.

Don't do it.

If your problem is with the height of the 30" screen you can always get a new stand for it.

Why were you looking to scale down?
 
I've had this for a couple years I have no "problem" but the 27" sounds awesome, and the real estate lost is not that much not that I utilize the full 30" ALL the time now anyway.
 
30" is amazing (had them before), but until I can get a glossy one I'll have to stick to 27" imac
