I'm going to have to give this some thought. Right now I'm unsure what to do, and I sure as heck don't want to give up 800-1200 ppd from this box, especially since its highly overpowered for its application and I'm maintaining 20% free cpu cycles. If it's small business server, most likely it is your DC as well as a bunch of other things. And the bad thing about SBS is you can't have multiple DCs, meaning if it goes down, you're SOL until you can bring it back up. Best advice is, if you can't afford to have it go down, don't put anything on it that you can't get tech support for. And [H] doesn't count as tech support in the boss's eyes![]()

I've had this idea about a usb memory key that would autostart when installed into a windows system. On a side note, My Sempron 2800 (socket 754) is only folding at 55-65 ppd when set to 'max battery'. I'm moving that to 'home\office desktop' to see if it improves folding speed. I've only got the F@H client running while its plugged in, which is a couple of days a week.

If it's 55-60ppd during the time you run it, yes, that's low. My Athlon XP 1800 gets 70-80ppd on crummy proteins, and my niece's Sempron 3100 gets 110ppd on crummy proteins. They're on 24/7, though. If you're not getting the production you need, there's a good chance that something's getting throttled because the laptop is acting as though it's on battery all the time.dekard said:Is such a low score proper for this processor?
