Wow a couple of hours AFTER I ordered my 165 from newegg rush order great!, couldnt even get a 7000B-CU for 10$, lol was that valid ?
 
I was actually pricing out a system when it no longer works.

Maybe in the future do something like post the deal and make people pm you to get it? maybe some kind of system so it doesn't get jacked.....

I wanted that opty so BAD! had the whole thing priced out!
 
I feel bad for the guy who made the coupon code work. Here he is doing us this favor by price dropping the opteron and what happens.....it get's abused and is going to leave a mess to sort out. Although I think that they should have properly prepared the coupon first to be set to the item.
 
It's working again. I just ordered an Opteron 165 with the coupon code.

Coupon still works bro. It says that message when it thinks the person has used it before. I dont know what it goes by but, if someone with a similar address or phone number or zipcode maybe uses it, its gonna say its expired. Because its limit 1 per person.
 
damn and i just ordered a 165 and 1900xt the other day, now theres a rebate on a similar 1900 and this code out.
 
Good thing I ordered mine from Monarch last Thursday. :(

But, on the bright side, I got the new rig up and running last night. :D
 
This coupon code was only promoted here for our HardOCP Friends as we are a sponsor and member of this forum. Yes we did have a glitch in our coupon and it is a shame that someone on that other forum tried to take advantage of our error. We only needed to cancel a small qty of orders where the money lost was to great for us to bare. mmm, probably about 30 bucks less than the price on the website ;)

328.89 - 30(coupon) + 2.99(shipping) = 301.88

That's one way of looking at it. However, since I was going to buy this to build my new system with, it's a bit of a downer to me. I guess I'll hold out for a couple of weeks to save up more pennies for hardware.

That'll teach me to go watch the Avalanch play instead of ordering computer parts last night.

 
I understand that the original code was exploited and thus the code has probably been deactivated/expired. However, I'm wondering if this deal is dead for good, or if a new promo code will be offered with the glitch corrected? In the future, an expiration date/timeframe in the original post would help clarify if/when the deal is dead. Helps those of us that need to do some, um, creative financial maneuvering an idea of how long we have to pull the wool... er... get permission... or... um... realign our financial allocations before the deal expires.

Same situation for me. I saw this deal and was going to jump on it. I've got the cpu and the AMD/Nero bundle in the cart. Coupon expired..... sucks big time that others spoiled it for us [H] goers.


Monarch Rep...if you get authorized to create another code for us, maybe you could start a thread where memebers can request a PM from you with the code in it so that it's not publicly viewable? ....might be one heck of a hassle, though.
