3 year old thermal paste, safe to use?

Never been used, but it leak a bit during this time...is it safe to use?

I have used much older. However it may depend on what type of thermal compound. I generally use plain silicon or whatever comes with the heat sink. Usually they give you way too much so I have at least dozen tubes of the stuff in my desk drawer at work.

long as its not like an open blister pack where as has dried it out i dont see why not
