Of course, Ockie is automatically a member :)

Much like the 2TB club, to be a member, here are the rules
1) All drives must be INTERNAL, and inside ONE computer.
2) 3TB is counted as 3,000GB of advertised space. So, 4 x 750GB = 3 TB, 10 x 320GB = 3.2TB

3) A screen cap of your device manager, or some other verifiable method of demonstrating the drives is required.

4) You must OWN the computer yourself.

5) Must be the preformatting, available space.

4 x 750GB drives in JBOD, or as "4 drive letters" = you qualify, even though, technically, you are at 2792 GB
4 x 750GB drives in Raid5, (2.25TB before formatting / 2.09TB after formatting) = you don't qualify

If you want to give the details of your setup after formatting, raid configuration, etc, feel free.

I now humbly submit MY proof of membership.

1 x 400 GB, Seagate, Pata, 7200 RPM, 7200.(9?) drive
6 x 500GB Maxtor Maxline 7H500F0, 7200RPM, Sata2 drives

Advertised space = 3400.75 GB
No raid in place right now = Available space = 3166.8 GB
I disabled my intel matrix raid cause the damn verify tool would run every day.

Heh. Just realized I need to update my sig

Advertised space : 4370GB
Formatted space : ~4000GB

Unfortunately, one of the 200GB drives died today (the ST320082). I'm going to RMA it and add a 500GB drive soon.

how about a 3.004TB club!!!!!!!
seriously, what's with the fucking spin offs of my thread?
it's not for people with only 1TB, it's for anyone with 1TB or more

i think, 1 , 5, 10, terabyte clubs would be nice, but it's hard seeing all the systems cuz of all the posts inbetween.

You mean, your closed, dead thread?
In the "2TB thread" someone stated concurred with the concept of a 3TB thread... don't get so territorial "MY thread!" Who says we can't have a different thread to seperate them.

Your 1TB thread is worthless nowadays.
Maybe my 3TB thread is, too. I hold that each level higher is more "valuable" as it's a LOT more difficult to get, say, 8TB in a system than 1TB..

"How'd you power it, what's your raid? How's your cable management?" are all questions that could be raised in a larger (more drive using) array.. 1TB? pshaw.

The problem with different threads is when does it stop, 1TB, 2TB, 3TB, etc
We need one thread to keep things simple.

I closed my old thread in order to make a new one.
The old one was never the 1TB club, it was the Terabyte Club, as in 1 or more.
However, 1TB drives are on the horizon and there isn't another milestone with any significance in sight, so I've make a new thread with different requirements.
