Ok, so I've been doing 2screen with 2 17"(one LCD, one CRT) for a while now, setting this up was no sweat as my 6800 had dualoutput, so no worries. However, I'm now looking to add a 3rd screen due to having recently added a PVR-150 on to the box, and liking watching TV, and still having 2 screens to work with(yes, I'm that hyperactive!).

However, the MBoard only has 1AGP slot, and no onboard video, so kinda curious how I would do this. I would assume that I'd have to find a PCI video card, but I'm unsure what the spec's required would be in order to run the TV signal. Additionally, last time I tried this(with the powa of a Geforce1!) the entire system suffered from a slowdown, which started when I installed the old card(the Geforce1), and went right up till when I removed it. Honestly, the only thing I would be looking to do graphics wise on that card is TV or Webbrowsing while I'm doing something else on the other screens(work/game/etc).

You might consider a very basic computer hooked up to the third monitor with something like Multiplicity or Synergy so that you can really make the browsing/tv machine independent from your main rig, and avoid any possible slowdowns.

I agree with his suggestion. It's what I got setup.

I have dual 15" LCD's and a 19" LCD in the center. I too, also have a 6800 (gt) card to drive two screens. I use my third LCD, the 15", hooked up to my laptop, and use synergy to use the same keyboard and mouse to control it over LAN. I was extremely happy with the results!

So if you have a second computer, I would suggest giving it a try
 
Thanks for these - didn't know about them before, but work really well with 2 desktops & a laptop :D
