Would I need to buy a better heatsink for my Q6600 if I DO NOT plan on overclocking?

2
Should I buy a fan for my 8GB of RAM (2x2GB) at 2.3V? (My mobo is a P35)

My Lian Li case has a front door and a fan in the front...does this mean when I closing the front door would render the fan obsolete?

Thanks

1. no

2. possibly, it couldn't hurt.

3. Fan will still pull air through, unless the door makes an airtight seal.

1. included heatsink should be fine if your not overclocking... and if you have that case it should have decent air flow.

2. 2x2=4 not 8 ;) and whats the stock voltage of the ram? possibly pick up that OCZ memory cooler... its cheap
why run the ram at such a high voltage if your not OC'ing??

3. if that fan is a suck it should be ok with the door closed... there is vents on the side of the door... should be ok

just keep an eye on the temps doors open vs door closed... if its like 5-6 degrees dont worry about it.

Thanks silasbear

Haha your right. I have two 2x2GB Patriot Viper memory Apparently to reach the specified speed you need to raise your voltage to 2.3V.

Is that bad memory then?

That sounds like a good idea! :)
