I just recieved 3 fans with bare wires, much to my dismay, and now I need to get some 3 pin wires to sauder to the fans so I can connect the fans to the motherboard header. Does anyone know where I can get said cable?
I got a bundle of them (25) for $0.50. They are also sold for $0.10 a piece. I got them from JK Electronics in Westminister, CA. They are in the phone book and the area code is (714). The ones I got are surplus and have white connectors with brown, orange, and red wires. Get yourself a soldering gun and some solder and your in business. The other method is to go buy a pre-made 3-wire extension and cut off the end you don't need and solder appropriately. No matter what method you use you will probably have to solder in extension wires as I could never find the right length I wanted.
