Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm trying to find a toggle switch that can have 3 modes, so that I can have it toggle a fan from 5v, 7v, and 12v. I was looking here but theres sooo many! I don't know which one I need.
Actually, unless I'm way off base, you can't do that with a toggle switch. Even DPDT (double pole, double throw) switches only have an off-on1-on2 position selection, if memory serves. Of course, I'm going off of knowhow I learned some 25+ years ago, so it's very possible that I'm wrong. Anyone know??
Something that might work better would be a rotary switch. Sorta like an old style tv channel changer switch (if you're not old enough to remember those, go visit a museum! ). This one has 6 throws (or positions), and should do the trick (I'm saying that by going off of an led fan I have, that says it pulls 130mA @ 12vDC.....this switch can handle 150mA @ 28vDC). More switch than you need, but at $5 + shipping, a good deal for you, I hope!
There are some toggles that are 3P3T. You might look in Digikey for some. http://www.digikey.com if you want just have them send you a catalog, its pretty thick too. You can also use the online search.
Instead of a toggle, why dont you just do a fanbus instead? That way its customizable instead of just 3 possible speeds? Or,instead of a toggle, get a positional switch like this:
