hey guys, ive looked everywhere. even pricewatch, where do you find these things? and how does this compare to the FX55 in encoding.

It beats the FX-55 in encoding, loses badly in gaming, but it's a paperlaunch at this point.

damm, that thing must come with water cooling for a stock Cooler...considering how hot there last chip was.... man....

Naaaa you can do it on air. All you need is a Swiftech MCX775-V and a Vantec Tornado. You could keep it cool to 4GHz with that.

You shouldn't need more than stock cooling to squeeze 266mhz out of it, but, who cares. If someone is really to throw money away on it, they'll be willing to buy ridiculous cooling "solutions."

just like me

FYI, there is absolutely ZERO reason to buy the 3.73EE based on their new design.

The 3.73EE is just a faster clocked version of the new 6xx series CPUs with a default multiplier of 14 (so you can run the 1066FSB). Furthermore, because of the EIST that the 6xx CPUs have (throttling capability), all 6xx series CPUs have the 14x multiplier available through certain supported motherboard BIOS.

So if your motherboard BIOS currently has the setting to access the lower multiplier, just go out and buy a P4 630, drop the multiplier down to 14x, crank up the bus speed to 1066, and you have the exact same CPU for 1/4 the price. FiringSquad did a review and found this to be the case.

im not going to buy this, i just orderd a 3.4E, and a nice cooler. going to OC that to 3.73E, and a 1066MHz FSB.
