ok so i got a prescott 3.2ghz and i'm using the stock heatsink... shouldn't that heatsink be hot to the touch or if anything atleast warm?

well..considering you have a fan blowing on it....and that fan pushes air..which creates wind chill...you probably can't feel the heat

yea i guess.. i just figured when it got up to 70C you'd be able to feel it on the heatsink

Well the heatsink will get warm to the touch, but it won't burn you or anything.
