Hi,
I'm going to be getting a new processor soon and will be going for a minumum of 4GHZ speed (to match my last processor). It will be cooled via a high end water rig. I haven't heard much buzz about the overclocks of the 3.4C, and not much about the 3.2C either. I assume the 3.4C would have a better chance @ 4ghz, but I know it doesn't always work that way. So if you have a 3.2C or a 3.4C, post your overclock here and help me decide which to get! Money is no object here, I'm just going for MAX oc. Thanks guys!

I can reach 245 fsb which is 3920 stable on air (sp94) at 1.7v or 4ghz with 1.725v this is a 3.2c.... 4ghz can prime but have not run it for more than 1 hour as I'm not too keen to run it at this higher voltage on air ....but on water I'd probably do It... I run 3.7ghz at 1.6v day to day...... as for the 3.4 it may increase your chances ...I actually ordered a 3.0c but when I went to pick it up the guy had forgotten to order it so he gave me a 3.2c for the same price. The thing is 3.4 @ 4ghz is only 235fsb so maybee a 3.2c@4ghz @250fsb would be nicer or even a 3.0c @4ghz @265fsb depends on the ram an motherboard you've got :) The 3.4's are the highest binned so likely has the best shot a 4ghz .

Your 3.4's are your best chance. I see it happening depending on your ram and mb? I'm on a 3.0c @3.6ghz rock solid on air but can run 3.75ghz but it isn't as stable. Mushkin ram with a Abit ic7-max3. I know for sure that if I had a 3.4ghz I'd be turning 4ghz or higher or at least melting down trying. I first wanted to try that with the 3.0 :D but it just didn't happen...I could only post in the high 3.8ghz but it wouldn't do any 3D apps it could only do some windows functions..... but to start out with a 3.4ghz..... hhmmm, I'm off to newegg to price those badboys you got me thinkin! :)
