im looking to upgrade my old 1.6@2.4 to a new 3.0c@3.4(i hope) ... considering a ASUS P4P800 mobo and reuseing my 512mb Corsair 3200 RAM ... going to upgrade my Enermax 340 to a 450 PSU ... retaining my BFG 6800OC 128MB PCI video ...

botton line, can i reasonably expect a 3.0c to go 3.4ghz with all the hardware stated above?

the power supply should be fine,, youll have to be more specific about the ram.. if its just corsair value select you might not be able to push it as much... you can try raising your timings so you can obtain higher frequencies at a stable rate.. the video card will have nothing to do with your cpu overclock, and as for using the asus mobo, i have a friend who got his 2.8 to 3.6 with stock cooling and a P4P800... but goto www.overclockers.com and goto cpu database, look for your mobo and see what other people got...
