i currently have 1 60GB OCZ Vertex 2 that ive had since last august, and will probably be getting a second one early august for my bday. and was going to raid 0 them. but i was thinking assuming i did get a second one should i just spend 200 more of my own money and quad raid them or not?

ill have plenty of sata ports so that isnt an issue.

MB has 4 SATA2 on the z68

and 2 SATA3 on the z68

along with 4 x SATA3 on the ASMedia ASM1061

which ill prob use ASMedia controller for the 4 640gb WD AALS drives i have for hd capture.

which still leaves me with 2 Sata3 ports on the z68 free for more ssd's or what ever later.

i have 2 - 2tb, 1 - 1.5tb and 1 - 500gb external drives for storing important stuff so data loss isnt an issue.

any good reasons i shouldnt do it? other than if a drive fails i lose my OS

If it is pure speed you're looking for, I'd suggest a brand new SSD like OCZ Vertex 3 or Corsair Force Series GT as they has the twice (theoretical though) read and write speeds compared to your current SSD. I would personally go with a brand-spanking-new SSD and keep the old one for storage or perhaps use it in a laptop/notebook/whatever.
