I'm looking for a 2U server case to house my soon-to-be colocated Opteron server. I want to make sure the rackmount has adequate cooling (2-3 fans blowing air above the motherboard) and I found an Antec case that looks nice but I can't find any reviews on it. Does anyone have recommendations for other brands/models?
 
What motherboard brand/model are you running? it can depend heavily on that due to cooling. But for quality i'd go with Supermicro or Intel. Supermicro probably has a more compatable board as the intel cases are designed specifcally for intel boards.

If they're too expensive, Chenbro cases are slightly more affordable and very high quality. If you want a cheaper alternative you could always get the Antec, which get the job done :). How much are you willing to spend on this btw?
 
I'm going with the Tyan K8WS (single Opteron) with an Opteron 146 and 1GB of RAM. I'll go up to $200 for the case, any other suggestions? I just need the case, no case/motherboard combo.
 
Are you planning on using an expansion cards? If so, make sure you get a compatable riser card, often the cards included w/ 2u cases are designed for 32bit/33mhz 5v slots, whereas (I think?) you've got 64bit/66mhz 3.3v slots. Secondly, make double-ly sure the PSU is adaquete/has the correct connections
 
I won't be using any of the PCI slots since it'll be co-located as a game server and has an onboard NIC.
