Should I get a 2TB desktop or a 1TB portable USB HDD?
Both same price, but I hear the small ones with no fan overheat and break. But I do like their small size and want to keep it in the safe deposit box at the bank. But I dont like their slow boot up times.

Also, I looked into a case for internal HDD instead, but comparing costs it does not make sense.

iomega 1TB usb 2.0 enclosure with 2.5" samsung 100UI series drive (5400RPM) after a year is still going strong, so as the Samsung G3 USB 2.0 external, both drives are used very much in work, at home. Not a single bad sector yet.

I'd get the 2TB for storage sake.

But w/e you need it for.

I have a 1.5TB WD portable and it never done any wrong for me lol
