2nd PCI-E x16 slot performance hit??

I moved my Vid card to the 2nd pci-e x16 slot due to heat issue with the NF4 chipset. Is there any performance hit? I've seen someone who did the same thing and ended up running his card @ x8 instead of x16. Any idea guys???

Actually I did some testing myself and the result is pretty interesting to say the least.

His motherboard is not, he's using a DFI Expert.
