2nd Loop Help

Ok, well in preparing for getting Quad SLI, or Quad Crossfire, both though 2 GPU solutions, I'd figured I should make a second loop.

Anyone have any recommendations for a cheap way to make this loop. I have a single Asetek radiator to spare, but not 100% sure that it is enough for 2x X2 cards. What Radiator and pump, and Reseviour etc would be recommended, space is a premium though the radiator will be external and can be any size 1-3x, and price I would like the most cost effective solution (see cheap) but that cools down those cards very well even when over clocked. Again this is just for the GPU cards, and the motherboard chipset. NO CPU, CPU is already in its own loop.

you can get the swiftech rads at newegg for cheap.. a triple 120 is only 45 bux. the double is 35 i think

then for a pump you could get one of the little d-tek / danger den ones for like 45 bux.

you could use a t-line to save space and money or if you want a res you could get a bay one or use the micro swiftech one.

so cheapest would be double swiftech rad and pump and t-line prolly about 80 bux, 10 bux more for triple rad, then add 20 ish bux for res. thats what i say.

i dunno if you have better luck than the people i know with water cooling but a friend of mine ended up getting a fish tank water pump, and mounting the power switch on the side of his case with an extra AC power cord sticking out of the back... lol...

My suggestions for the loop:
Swiftech MCR-320 QuietPower radiator, used - $35-40
3 Yate Loon mid speed fans, used $10 or so
Liang D5, used, $50-60
Tubing - $15 or so.
Fillport - $10

Blocks are going to run you $150+ each for newer cards. No real way around that.

$125 for pump, rad, etc.
$300 for full coverage GPU blocks.

$425-$450. Not really any way to make it cheaper and keep it effective. I'd stay away from smaller/lower quality radiators and weaker pumps, as you're asking the rad and pump to do a lot in that loop.

Holy crap... seek out petra's < full gtx block 139.99 if I recall.. .no where near 300.

I would not pay over 150 per gpu
and not over 100 for the cpu.

Notice I said GPU blocks. ~$150 each, if you include shipping.

He's talking about running 3870X2s or 9800GX2s, I believe, hence the $150+ per card price quote. Could even be more -- too early to say.

Yeah when you said per gpu I was like holy crap but you meant 150 per card 300 for both gpus

i doubt the [H] would boycott their own sponsor that pays them money for advertisements.... not a smart move.... unless you can show me a link to the [H] article where they are calling for a boycott
