290X Price drops?

When will ATI drop prices on 290Xs and 295X2s so that I can pick a few up for CrossFire? It seems ridiculous that a 290X costs the same as a 970.
 
why would you crossfire low end cards like the 290x? Just buy a couple gtx980 and call it a day.

Just because a newer generation of video cards came out that's a bit faster doesn't make the 290 anything near like low end. Low end is a HD5450 :p
 
nothing announced yet.. we was hoping for a price drop and new announcement the 9/25 but nothing more than just launch R9 285 in India and nothing near about any AMD soon.. I guess they can't lower the price further as they will probably just cause lost the profit margin..

he its being sarcastic with with rabidz7 as they love to troll in the whole forum saying 60fps are unplayable unusable and the GTX 970 its a low end card.. =)...
