290x in newegg

Some items you can return, some you can't. It states it in the item page
 
Newegg has a chat option if the product page doesn't already state why you can't return it.

I had the same problem, you can return the card for replacement (if it's defective or you're having some other type of problem with the card), but you cannot return it for a refund. I'm going through the RMA process right now with them due to the black screen crashing problems you see in the other thread. I'm at my wits end with this thing, if my replacement doesn't work I will be demanding a full refund (not sure how much luck I will have with that, however).
 
Yep, newegg typically has a replacement only policy on new GPUs at launch - it is clearly specified on every product page. You want to discuss this with them, though, not us. Maybe you'll get someone nice on the phone who will work with you.
 
That's why I order from Amazon even if it costs slightly more... no questions asked on returns.
