Ok, has anyone seen that you need an 8 pin PCI-E power connector to overclock this card? How do I find power supplies that do, I want to be ready for Crossfire and I hear this card is a power hog, any recommendations?

Does anyone have any idea how we determine if a PS has a 8pin PCI-E connector?

goto jonnyguru's website and read his forum. There's a thread specific to 8-pin pci-e connector PSUs.

Check the specs? It should include what kind of connectors it has. :rolleyes:

so not being completely retarded I did look at several spec sheets and NO, they did not list the #of pins on the PCI-E connectors

I thought that was what I was trying to do here, "start a tread specific to 8-pin pci-e connector PSU's"

OCZ
===

OCZ has some, as they were used in many reviews yesterday, but I'd be damned if I found any info explicitly stating which PSU's do and don't carry the 8pin.

Enermax
=======

Enermax has updated a few of their PSU's, but you'll have to give them a call or wait for them to update their website.

Corsair
=====

Is going to be the same as above, as per the websites. They do have a product, which complies, I believe, but have yet to fully disclose details.

For a more complete list, be sure to check out Johnny Guru's.

You'll also need to be careful as to which companies are offering the 'correct' PCIe 8pin connector, as per the PCI-SIG specification. For more info see:
