280x Eyefinity help

Hey all,

I'm replacing my 6950 with a 280x and realized after ordering it (finally saw one at MSRP so hit buy right away) that it has 1 DVI, 2 Mini DP, and 1 HDMI instead of 2x DVI, HDMI and DP that I was looking at on the 270x's.

My 6950 had 2 DVI, 1 HDMI and 1 DP (full not mini).

I'm currently using a DP -> DVI cable for one monitor and 2x DVI for the other 2 (3x 2007FP @ 1600x1200)

I ordered the Gigabyte GV-R928XOC-3GD REV2, and I'm not sure what it has in the box already (why is this information so hard to find?).

What would be the best way to run all three monitors on the new card? Do I need to buy the active adapters or can I buy cheaper ones? Is it possible / worthwhile to daisy chain mini DP -> DP -> DVI?
 
When I went eyefinity when introduced in the 5870, I bought the eyefinity 6 card because I knew their would be issues running DVI. It had 6 mini DP ports on it. So I went with all DP monitors from the get to.

The card you ordered does have 2 mini DP and using active adapters to convert them to DVI won't be an issue. The trick is finding the right ones and accel are the ones I would be looking at.

That one is full display port not mini.

I have one converter already, and i think the card comes with a mini DP -> DP adapter, but can I use that along with my existing DP -> DVI adapter, or do I need to buy two mini DP -> DVI adapters?

And do they have both to be Active?
