Has any company ever made a nice ~27" IPS monitor with 1920x1200 resolution? I'm starting to question whether 2560x1440 might be too much....

I just can't imagine 1920x1200 would look good on a 27" monitor.

2560x1440 is not too much.

If you're sensitive to small type thats nothing a few font size/browser tweaks can't fix.

It isn't too much for gaming either. Not when many mid-range cards can handle 2560x1600 quite well in most games.

There are a couple of 25.5 inch 1920x1200 IPS monitors, the NEC 2690 was one, I think Doublesight had one as well.

The 27" 16x10 Dells (2707, 2709) were PVA panels, along with Samsung's 275T.

edit: Viewsonic released a 25.5" not long ago...

Those and the 26in. Planar. The 2707 and 2709 both have a lot of input lag, arround 50ms.
