I am running a 580 GTX (no displayport) on an I7 based PC. I want to change my monitor out to be used more for games. Vurrently using a Sammy 2333T.
I have been looking and looking and can't seem to find just the right monitor. Close but not close enough to empty the benjamin's out of my hands.
The current unit's I have looked at are.
Samsung S27A750D
Samsung S27A700 (Not sure when this might be released)
Samsung S27A850dw
Notice a common thread here? Cash is not the issue, however out of all those monitors I fell in love with the 750D's design the best. The exception being that did not include a DVI connector. Apparently the 700 is suppose to correct that.
I am open to all brands of monitors except Asus.
I do want to keep this at the 27" level. I really like the 850 as well for the higher pixel's could make for interesting gaming.
Any suggestions, and if there is a way to run a DP to DVI adapter and still get 120hz running in 2D gaming? I could care less about the 3D thing, I just want a crazy great picture all the time, and very little ghosting, color shift, or backlight bleed.
If there's one thing the Koreans are good at it's making a proper lcd panel.
