Ok, Ive spent the greater part of the last 2 days googling endlessly for Anti-aliasing comparisons at 2650x1600. Ive read (Through text, never seen an example picture) that at 2650x1600, AA over 2x is for the most part not even noticeable. Is there any truth to this statement.

Depends on how good your eyes are and how close you sit. The pixel pitch on 30" monitors is smaller than on 24-28" and thus the individual pixels are harder to see. Makes AA less necessary at any given distance.

depends on the rendering technique in the game engine as well, some are horrendous with jaggies.

I try to have at least 4x AA when playing PC games on my 30"... since i do have an eye for jagged edges AA has to be on for me..
