2600XT X2 - good?

Looks like a waste of money. A 8800 GTS could blow that out of the water, even a 3850 could I bet.
 
nifty looking card. like the dual gpu 1950 pro's sapphire produced a little while back. although, the 1950 dual gpu card probably could perform better than this dual 2600xt.
 
I say someone here buys it and benchmark it as well as give the thing its 1st Newegg review!
 
tigerdirect has had this card for a while now. no one really seems to want to waste 350 on an old slow card......i wonder why?
 
Looks like a great way to go to a 4 monitor setup with a single card, that's what I would use it for...
 
Its amazing, the ever since the Volari Duo you'd think manufactures would have learned the lesson that 2x128 does not equate 256bit performance(granted that was a feeble as heck gpu, but no more than a 2600XT is as today) . Allots changed since the days of the Voodoo 5500.

I think there was also a 6600GT and X1600 dual gpu, and they all deservedly sold like lead balloons as well. Heck the 6800GT and X1950pro duals were rare as heck and they were not such an insult to their generation as these 2x128bit attempts were.
 
I thought it was funny Visiontek wanted to jump on the X2 craze and make a below-average card and try to "double" its performance. I just got my 2600XT 512MB DDR3 from them yesterday and put in Catalyst 8.3 along with a Blu-Ray drive and played a few movies almost flawlessly. PowerDVD has a checkbox for the ATI Avivo which handled most of the video decoding for Blu-Ray.
