Alright, I have a AMD 2600+ Stock at 2.087GHz
My question is, with this Zalman and this Mobo - How far can I overclock my system?

I have 2x256 Geil PC3200
and 1x512 Kingston HyperX PC3500
and a 350W PSU

Any other questions regarding specs, ask me.

You never know until you push the CPU to its furthest, without frying it. :D

Slowly up the FSB (166) and work towards 200mhz. If you run prime and it fails, either lower the FSB or up the voltage a hair.

good luck

i have the same CPU, diff mobo and a HSF that isnt as good

i got up to 2.4Ghz

got too hot for my taste so i put it down to 2.2

Boost the FSB slowly until you get to 2.2ghz. When you get to 2.2ghz run prime95. If everything is stable then again boost the FSB slowly until you hit 2.3ghz, and again run prim95. Just fallow these steps until you get to where you want to be at. BTW, change from that Zalman to a Thermalright SLK900A with a YS-Tech 92mm fan (for silent cooling) or get a Vantec Tornado (not quiet) for the SLK900A. Good luck! :D

Sounds good.
I don't really care about the sounds. I sleep through anything :-P

i dont think the y-s tech fan is silent, i looked one up on svc and found this one http://www.svc.com/newys.html and 40dBa isnt that silent to me

anyways, the Zalman is an excellent choice. Have u made sure that it fits ur mobo?
