I bought a desktop 2500+ mobile and I think I got a bad one as it is unstable at 3200+ speeds. I am thinking about returning it after I hear all these success stories with the 2600+ M and read the [H] article about OCing the Barton and how only 1/3 are "really" stable at 3200+ speeds. A whole lot of people seem to be hitting 2.4ghz minimum wherever I look with 2600s.

Would it be a good choice to get the 2600+ M and return my 2500+?

What voltages have you tried?

And on what grounds do you plan to return your 2500+?

No CPU is a 100% reliable overclocker.

I've tried up to 1.8v before my motherboard BIOS flash failed. I'm getting my NF7-S replaced.

I may keep the 2500+ and make another rig, not sure yet.

It seems that with the 2600+M more luck is taken out when trying to hit 3200+ speeds. Every single person who I've seen who has one has at least hit 2.4ghz prime stable, except for one person who was using el cheapo RAM.
