Okay, this might be slightly ranty...
I was just cruisin' the web (
), when I came across a €200 fan controller. You heard right, 200 Euros, or 260 US Dollars. I was intrigued. For that kinda cash, I could get a good mobo and an A64 3200. So obviously, that fan controller must be one [H]ardkore machine. Badder than badass.
Turns out I was wrong. It essentially does what a classic fan controller does. it measures temps (without all that annoying accuracy), and tries to regualte fans based on these temps. Like quite a few PWM systems, it fails miserably.
But wait! There IS a difference!!! The Innovatek Fan-O-Matic has an uber-1337 LCD display on it! w00t! Ant there's more! There are inline temp probs avalible for it, if you want to measure your water temps, that's because its SPECIALLY DESIGNED for watercooling (reason why this is here and not in main cooling).
But really... WHY IN THE WORLD yould ANYONE spend money on this...
