256k cable modem cost?

You will probably find them to be around 65-70 dollars. Any cable modem that you buy will be able to support 256k speeds so don't go looking for a "256k modem". I would recommend and of the Motorola Surfboard modems. If you have not signed up for cable internet service then go over to Bestu Buy or Circuit City and see if they have any deals where you can get the cable modem for free after activation rebates.
