I don't know what is going on. I got this drive about a week ago and slaped it in my 2.4 OC'ed to 3.2 machine and reinstalled everything. I let my computer sit around idle, say that I'm playing FFXI and when I come back and move around my HDD spins up makes a loud click and my computer reboots. Does it in windows too. I would let my computer sit there idle with ATitool and Prime95 running when I come back and try to access anything it just spins up CLICK and reboots.

I clocked my system to default and got the same results. The drive is on it's side in my case near two 80mm fans running all the time. I even took the drive out and installed it flat, still the same click of death.

I'm going to put my 9800pro and HDD on their own power rail. I have a PC power & cooling 350 watt PSU.

Why is it spinning down in the first place?

the click of death is an endless loop
where the drive recalibrates after a read\write error then repeats
a single click after initializing a powered down HDD is normal

Since you're worried, run this test to see if there are any hard drive issues:

Also, I hope you've locked the PCI bus frequency to 33 MHz if you're overclocking.
