I have a 2500k Industrial Sample that i purchased a while ago for a c-note and i have been running it at 4ghz ever since the beginning on auto voltage....but I have tried to go to 4.5 and everything seems stable but it fails prime blend test, is there a certain setting i have to change? Thanks.

What are your ambient temps, idle temps, 4GHz temps and 4.5 GHz temps?
 
Well i never tested the temps under 4.5ghz just because it would fail prime blend pretty darn fast....but running a prime95 small fft test as we speak and under auto voltage @4.0ghz and it never goes higher than 77c at the lowest fan speed setting using a push-pull fan config Corsair 50, very very quiet. I can go higher with the fan as even at higher speeds its still relatively quiet. The voltage is currently showing an average of 1.272v. I'm checking temps with HWMonitor.
 
That's a good start. With the few that we have here in my house, it seems like the temps are pretty stable up to a point, like 4.2 on my current i7. After that, I have to start turning up the voltage and it gets hot quick. I generally run mine at 4.5 all of the time, even though I have had it running at 4.8. I don't like the temps/volts at 4.8. Now my son's rig, same i7, runs completely cool at 4.5, so he generally runs his at 4.8 with no issues and nice and cool. And honestly, I don't see the difference in speed from 4.5 to 4.8 except in some benchmarks.
If you want to push and test temps, I would find the breaking spot, like is it 4.3 or 4.4, then turn up the volts ever so slightly, and try the next step up.
