Hey all.

Just a quick ?

Just got up and running with my machines here, and noticed that the 2nd WU my main rig downloaded, the one it is currently crunching, is 2500 frames. The original estimated time of completion is October something, lol.

Is that right ? Couldn't find anything that big on the Stanford list.

Should be only 100 frames right ?

I couldn't care less about points, etc., just don't want to waste that much time on it if it is in error, or whatever.

Thanks guys.

from motherboards.org faq:

I just received a WU that has 2,500 frames (or other large number), is this WU faulty and should I get another one?
This is actually quite common and no you should not get a new WU. If you pay close attention you will notice that your frame's finished will jump in increments of 25 (with a WU of 2,500 frames), 2,500 divided by 25 is 100, making your WU a 100 framer

phew!

Yup, it is incrementing x 25.

Says it'll now be finished in like 2 hours....

I'll read through that FAQ now, then...lol.

Thanks.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't have even asked if it hadn't said October originally.

Good to know though.

Take care.

If it looks like.........

[13:32:02] Writing local files
[13:32:02] Completed 0 out of 2500000 steps (0)
[13:38:36] Writing local files
[13:38:36] Completed 25000 out of 2500000 steps (1)
[13:45:12] Writing local files
[13:45:12] Completed 50000 out of 2500000 steps (2)
[13:51:49] Writing local files
[13:51:49] Completed 75000 out of 2500000 steps (3)
[13:58:26] Writing local files
[13:58:26] Completed 100000 out of 2500000 steps (4)
[14:05:04] Writing local files
[14:05:04] Completed 125000 out of 2500000 steps (5)

Then its a Gromac and the frames are steps/100.

If it looks like...........

[10:15:25] Finished a frame (1)
[10:19:15] Finished a frame (2)
[10:23:05] Finished a frame (3)
[10:26:54] Finished a frame (4)
[10:30:43] Finished a frame (5)

Then its a Tinker and the frames are self evident.

p1289 will take me about 15:45 hours on a 2Ghz AMD MP.

Luck......... :D
