its my 16th birthday soon:)D yay for driving) and my aunt gives real nice presents for big birthdays like this. she will spend about 250-300 on just about whtever i want so i was wondering what i should get?

im gonna buy a mobo and cpu myself but wondered if it would be ebst to get speakers, ram, hard drives, water cooling system, psu, whatever. i was leaning toward speakers because i dont have anything other than the crap bundled ones with my Vaio and i want to spend money on things that will directly increace the power of my pc. the new logitech one looks real nice(z-5500 i think?) or i could get some insanely nice ram instead of a generick 512 stick i am planning on. but right now im leaning toward the speakers because i have nothing in the way of music in my room right now.
 
happy 16th, sux that i dont even remember mine now. take the 300 and spend no more than 50 on speakers (keep an eye on the hotdeals section of this forum and u will see good deals on good sets of speakers) then spend the rest on a nice vid card as that will probably be the most expensive part of the computer. remember good sound is cool and all, but its useless when the game your playing is running at 5fps.

What other components do you have in your system right now? That would definitely help as far as making suggestions.

radeon 9200
kingwin case
120 gig HDD
dvd drive

i am still looking at those speakers because this is just one thing im gonna get and still have other presents/money coming and theres always christmas so this is basically things i dont want to spend money on myself.
 
Also might want to get another stick of ram. Can get 512 stick for about $80, and a 9800 Pro for like $200.
 
probably should have made this more clear in the first post but i dont want a new mobo, video card, cpu. i will be getting a 6800gt next month so a new graphics card isnt an issue. this is more of a "what i really want but dont want to spend the moeny on" kind of thing.

like speakers; they are great to have but i wouldnt want to spend $280 on some really nice ones or some pc4000 or pc4200 ram with low latencies, i know it would be better for my rig but i just dont want to take away form more important things i could buy(like a graphics card).
