25 now 50 deg how come?

Hi my system has 2 case fans home made round cables it's temps were reading 25c or less. Now it reads 45c or up to 55c the only thing I have done is put a bigger hard drive in. But the temps did stay down till a month back and now they seem high any ideas. Oh my system is not overclocked yet as I want to get the temps down a bit first.

is this aircooled? 25c idle or load? 25c is a little unless it has been freezing down there in austrailia but 20-30c is way to much for a simple weather change, or maybe u broke the seal between the hsf and the cpu when you installed the hdd...

this happened to me (except i went from 28ºC load to 48ºC load )

there were also some dead air spots in the top of my case pooling heat. i cut a 120, reapplied the TIM b/w my HSF and CPU and everything was A-OK.
