the 2443BWX is on sale at BB this week for just 70 bucks more than I paid for the LG227WTG. plus Samsung actually includes the DVI cable unlike LGs sorry ass. so should I go back and exchange the LG for the Samsung or is it not any better than what I have? yes I know the Samsung is larger but is the panel itself of higher quality than LG?

The samsung website doesnt really tell me any differences between the 2433bw and 2433bwx, but I just bought a 2433bw from samsclub for $337. It's my first LCD monitor, but I have no issues with it. The colors are good, out of the box everything was set up very well, I just turned brightness down to 35% instead of 100%. All images I look at I can clearly distinguish colors. The response time is great, I rarely notice any issues, and only when I look for it. I can see the tiniest bit of input lag, but it is so small i'm not even sure if it's just me. It's a great monitor, and since I got mine at sams, i have their great return policy.

well crap I cant decide. the LG is okay but I would like a bigger screen if affordable. the problem is that I am afraid the Samsung may not even be as good as what I have. I would really hate to exchange the LG for it then not like it and have to go back and get the LG again. lol

Well..the Samsung 2443BWX has replaced the older Samsung 245BW 24" which is a very good display for gaming. It had height adjustment but, sometimes you may get 1 with 1 or 2 stuck/dead pixels. The Samsung 2443BWX does not have height adjustment. There is a Samsung 2443BW model that has height adjustment though. The 2443BWX does have a higher contrast ratio than the older 245BW model. The 2443BWBX is matte screen not glossy screen like the LG L227WTG-PF 22" display. Also, it has touch sensitive menues just like the Gateway FPD 2485W 24" display. What about you do this, buy it at Best Buy or even Costco and run some tests on it. Check the backlight bleed, stuck/dead pixels, run some games on it and see how it compares to your LG 22". If you are not satisfied, then just return it. Hehe.

yeah I was going to try it out but I would need to go ahead and exchange the LG for it since I dont have the 350 bucks to just get the Samsung outright. this LG is okay and if the Samsung is no better or even worse and I return it then I will be back at square one.

Hey, didn't you say that you didn't like the LG 22" earlier? I think it was cause it did not offer as much for the price. But, as far as image quality and gaming, how do you like the LG?

it seems fine for gaming. there is just a little bit of backlight bleed across the top thats noticeable in dark scenes. it seems to have much better colors than my parents Acer 22inch but some webpages seem a little cloudy. Steam forums and Hardforum look much better on a crt. I feel like Im going to go blind looking at Hardforum because of the white text with black background. on white pages the text looks really good though. I do notice some color banding here and there.

Yah, the thing about the Acers, it is good value lcds and does have sharp text. But, it does not deliver the deep vivid colors as compared to other Lcd monitors. Pretty much all TN or all monitors in general will suffer a backlight bleed. Some, worse than others. My HP W2207H I bought at Best Buy for $250, the first one had bad backlight bleeding. Gawd it was awful. When I exchanged it luckily there was like dozens of these lcds on the floor and I was standing there looking at the revision numbers on the box. Fortunately, the 2nd model is alot better with virtually no backlight bleed.

well Im hoping some 2443BWX owners will chime in about their monitor. I have already gone back to the crt while I decide if Im going to exchange the LG for the Samsung. If my crt was larger I would not even consider getting an lcd.

Thanks, now I know for sure not to try the 2443.

So you would say the LG had a much better picture than the 2443? I would say the LG definitely has the 2433 kicked in the ass.

yes the LG looked much better to me. I just couldnt justify the ridiculous cost of the LG becasue its still a TN with no freaking DVI cable. currently Im using an ACER AL2216W right now and its nice for the $169 I paid for it and it came with a cable. the problem I have with all these TN monitors is that they color band a little in some parts of games. games that have a gamma setting will let me get rid of nearly all the banding but not every game has that setting.

I'm with you. the LG is overpriced IMO... but you get what you pay for... It's an amazing monitor. It's also the only one Ive bought in something like 3-4 years so it's not too bad.

I just got back from Best Buy with my 2443bwx. I had bought the Benq g2004wd and I didn't care for it at all. This monitor is a lot better and in my opinion worth every penny. Hope this helps.

so you think the 2443bwx is better than the BenQ? that BenQ must be one awful monitor...

You are all over the place with the monitors aren't you???
well yeah. I just returned the 22inch acer today becasue for some reason it went insanely bright today. I thought it was maybe video driver issue but it was doing the same thing when i hooked it up to my old compaq pc. back to the crt for now. grrrr

Is there a noise ? I read some stuff about that.
Some owners said, that the noise is gone only after the brightness is set to 100 %, but from the driver menu ( graphic card ) he was able to fix it ,somehow.
I want to ask the owners if this Samsung 2443BW :
is that really loud and annoying ?
