2408WFP v. U2410?

How do you think these two are going to compare? Without knowing the price, I'm going to guess that the U2410 is going to be about $100 USD more expensive than the 2408WFP.

So what are you gonna do?

I wouldn't bet on the U2410 being $100 more. I would say more like $200+ more. I'm guessing the U2410 will end up arounf $800 when first released. And by the looks of it, don't expect the U2410 to come out for at least another month or so. But when it does I'm sure it will be a better LCD than the 2408...

So far where the U2410 has been introduced, Dell has no consistency in pricing, in HK the U2410 is selling for less than the 2408WFP, and in EU the U2410 is selling for more.

Dell could go either way in the US, the "low ball" route, or the "take & make all you can" route; I think Dell is on the fence and could go either way. It is now somewhat obvious that both the Dell U2410 and the HP LP2475w can be sold for well less than $ 450.00 with no one "loosing money", so the next few month should prove interesting.

We just need the U2410 "released" and "available" for US sale ASAP, both are selling "side-by-side" on Dell's HK site.

I am also waiting on Canadian availability for the U2410. If the price gets within striking distance, I'd let go of my 2408wfp and go for it ... maybe.
