2407WFP a good choice?

[HOCP4ME]

I'm looking for a 24" - or - so panel to replace my 19" CRT. I won't be using it to game much (at least not until I upgrade my 6600GT), but I want it to look good when I do upgrade that video card, as this will be my display for a long time.

Is the Dell 2407WFP a good choice, or is there something better out there for the same price?

[Herring]

I'm not getting the 2407wfp because of the ghosting issue
( http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/dell_2407wfp-hc.htm )
Instead, I'm looking at the LG L246WP. It seems perfect, and is cheaper.

I've not noticed any ghosting with my 2407. I play lots of games, including BioShock, and my 2407 displays them extremely well.

That's good to hear.
It's supposedly only a problem eith the -HC-model. I should have been more clear on that.
"2407WFP-HC"
Is that the one you got?

Mine is A03 version, non-HC.

Mine is A03 version, non-HC.

Seems like A03 or A04 non HC is the sweet spot for these if you can get one.

Any ideas how I could try and get one for myself?

Try eBay... maybe Costco, too.
