2405fpw white spots when black

Maybe this is normal, but wheni use something like the dead pixel checker, and it turns the screen black. I can see 4 spots where its much lighter than the rest. The spots are about 3 inches down from each corner and about 2 inches in.

The wierd thing is its super obvious now, but when i first got this thing last week i couldnt notice it at all.

Ive been thinkin about trying to get a new one from dell due to the ammount of ghosting i get, but are these light spots normal??

They are probably stuck pixels. Try geting a lint-free cloth and rubbing on the spots and see if that doesn't help. Apply firm, but no too firm pressure, you will make the liquid ripple, but just see if that will bring the pixel back to life. I figure it is stuck since it wasn't there to begin with.

Blacklight bleeding! all lcds have it some are major and some very minor.. You can exchange it, But thats taking a risk of asking for dead pixels. Thats if you have none.. If you have a dead pixel might as well. How much worse can it get.. :p
 
its not a dead pixel.. its MUCH biggger... its like a spot about 2inches in dimater.

I compare everything on this monitor to my 17" nec i have and used before i got this. So far my dell seems to be subpar in everything but brightness and sscreen size. I dont get it, there both 16ms black to black responce time.. and the dell looks WAY WORSE!... i think may be i should call dell and get a new one sent out.

If i do get a new one sent... are they gonna try and send me a refurbished one? also if the one that comes in is worse... can i send the new one back and keep the old one?

no for the first 21 days they will send you a New One.. They will ship you the new one first then will send u a return airbill..

and You can keep asking for a new one. till ur 21 days are up..Then refurbs it is..
