On white it seems to pe purple, on anything else it's black, and its about 5 inches to the right of the center of the screen.

Should I call dell or quit whining?

Otherwise it's a fine display. Doom3 is beautiful.

Edit: After consulting DPB( :) ) it seems to be dead to green.

since it's near the center of the screen, I would trade it in. I have a stuck green pixel but it's within an inch away from the edge so it doesn't bother me at all. Really depends on whether or not you think you can live with it.

or run that flashing colors program overnight to "exercise" it. Don't have a link just heard it mentioned on forums.

One stuck pixel on a huge display, and it is a dark one, not one of those annoying bright ones? If it were me, I'd stop whining and live with it, completely acceptable as far as LCDs that big go.

To you, If it was to him he wouldn't even mention it.

Its in the center of the screen, I'd bitch until I got a new one that was perfect. Thats what you paid for afterall.

Tho, if it were me, I'd go for CRT, better colors, no ghosting, no dead pixels..

Actually you don't, whenever you buy and LCD tha manufacturer states what the acceptable number of dead/stuck pixels will be. There is no gaurantee ever made that the display you are getting will be perfect, just that it will be within tolerances.

Fixed your list ;)

Dell basically has no questions asked return policy, so if its not up to the end users expectations or has a fault no matter how miniscule they will exchange it. Granted sometimes it takes an hour on the phone (depends on who you get when you call) they will exchange it.

Pulling my fucking hair out. Going in circles, is there anywhere specific to call?

Maybe you are handicaped in mental faculties?

Because every CRT i've ever used I was able to sit perfect geometery in about a minute.

And eyestrain? Only if you run 60Hz and have eyes sensitive to it.

But of course, You wouldn't be comparing640x320 at 60Hz to a high resolution LCD just to justify the ridiculous amount of money you paid...Would you.

Well, most major companies outsource their phone services to india and neighboring countries.

Ever call to get your copy of windows activated?
