2405 Concern Question..about video

I obvious Have the 2405 :) and had a question about it..I'm getting to where i'm going to upgrade my system again..cause my friend gave me his old video card which is a BFG 6600 GT OC and I'm going to run the monitor in its native 1920*1200 and was wondering what kind of FPS I can expect and If its actually going to be stable/worth while thanks

This vary GREATLY depending on the game engine, quality settings, rest of computer hardware, ect..ect..

One thing for sure, you'll have a nice slideshow if you run at native rez and all eye candy on at the same time with a 6600gt, especially Far Cry, Doom 3, FEAR, HL2 ect..ect... I suggest ditching AA and AF for starters and then tweak each game until it balances out.
 
yeah i know that part ;) but, i'm just trying to figure out how long till i'll need to upgrade video card, and if it'll pull stable 60fps in anything with AA/AF off..prolly set everything on medium/high..

i have the same issue, im about to purchase the 2405 and run it on its native resolution, i will be playing FS2004 most of the time so i hope its not too bad with my 6600GT Leadtek card.

You might have to scale down the res for some games and/or turn down alot of settings. My old x800xl had to run most stuff with AA and AF off or only on 2x. My new 7800GT CO is a godsend though...BF runs @ 1920x1200 with 6xAA, 16xAF, maxed settings and F.E.A.R. can run at 1600x1200 2xAA, 8xAF, max everything else (previously ran it at 1280x960).

The monitor by itself is kinda expensive...but the killer is that if you want to run stuff at the new high resolutions, you'll need a cutting edge card to go with it. I kinda forgot about that when I bought my 2405FPW lol.
