currently i've purchased the following items for my watercooled server and thought about adding a GPU (HD asus 6870 + aquagrATIx block). would my current radiator suffice?

aqua computer aquaero 5 xt usb
aqua computer 240 copper modularity/d5/res combo
scythe gentle typhoon 1850rpm x2
aqua computer kryos hf block (2500k)
aqua computer microdrive copper block x3 (3 - 2tb 7200rpm drives)
aqua computer highflow meter
aqua computer poweradjust 2 utlra

thanks!

A 240 cooling a 2500k and a 6870 with two 1850 gentle typhoons? Yes, it would suffice. You won't get great temps, but it's enough.

thanks for the replies! my watercooling gear is enroute now from aqua computers. ill let you know how it goes.

so finally received all my parts and im realizing that i had space to do a push/pull configuration. how much more performance would i gain?

Probably not very much considering your radiator already has a really low FPI of 9.

Very little gains. AP-15s have high static pressure already, and your radiator is extremely low FPI.

thanks for all the replies and inputs. finally getting ready to turn the system on for the first time!

i know in my first post, i inquired about adding a 6870, but im thinking about a 6850 instead. will that still give me crappy temps? if so, ill pass on add on a gpu.

curious if my temps are good before i start overclocking... right now im only cooling the cpu.

temps
core1 = 29
core2 = 30
core3 = 31
core4 = 32

pump running at = 2695 rpm equals a flow of 72.5 l/h
2 gentle typhoons ap15 = 800 rpms

rad fans are pulling air into the case.

thanks!

You won't get "crappy" temps, you just won't get "good" temps as far as watercooling is concerned. However, "okay" temps on watercooling generally is still better than temps on air.

Load temps are of primary concern, not idle temps.

thanks Tsumi. I'm gonna load up prime tomorrow after i get my new SSD. I post back and go from there.

Thanks
